Madagaskar: Lynette se Nuusbrief 1 November 2023: Finally!

After almost a month since my last post, I finally sit down to write. For the most part, I have been spending time with my mom in Moorreesburg. She had to move house a few months ago and it was difficult to adapt to life in town compared to a more rural environment. It helped that we were able to go away for a couple of days. The Cape is still beautiful and my favourite place. Moorreesburg is a small town where the pharmacy sells firewood and the printing shop offers you coffee.

Dries stays more than busy between the school, Royal Rangers and work on Gabriel. We received the boat’s new registration number and what a relief that is!

YWAM (youth with a mission) spent a week at school. They shared the Word every morning and the little ones enjoyed every moment of it. They also visited the Saturday Rangers which was good for the young people. It was encouraging to see young people dedicated to serve God.

The grade 5 classroom at school does not progress as we would have liked. The present builder will have to be replaced as he is too slow and claiming ‘personal problems’ only get you so far. Dries has so much to deal with and this setback does not help. Please pray with us for a suitable replacement.

Yes, you read that correctly. Diapers for dogs. I took a photo in the shop to show to the children when I return to Madagascar. They will be as gobsmacked as I was.

Have a blessed week.
