Sendingnuus: Madagaskar – Live without expectation

Dries is the avid and very capable gardener in our house.  I appreciate a beautiful garden, but it is not advisable to entrust the survival of growing things to my not green fingers. Vegetables do not grow well on our island due to the humidity, but Dries was adamant that he was going to grow tomatoes.

Fragile plants pushed their way to the surface and immediately Dries constructed a trellis in anticipation of how fast these new borns were going to grow. I pointed out that he must have a lot of faith to add the highest support first.  Why not wait until the tomatoes eventually get there?

Live with expectation!’

We prepared for the Expedition and Adventure Royal Ranger day camp this week. The theme is; Jesus, who are You?  The emphasis will be on the seven ‘I am…’ statements of Jesus in the book of John.  As we worked through these Scriptures, the profundity and richness of these statements filled us with an  expectation of what God wants to do in the lives of the young Rangers.

Please pray with us for the camp tomorrow, that God’s Word will land on fertile soil, change hearts and bear much fruit.

And I will keep you updated on how those tomato plants are getting on…😊
