Madagaskar: Lynettemadanews – THE WEEK – 26/06/2022

Lamentations 3:22-26

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning;  great is Your faithfulness.  “The Lord is my portion”, says my soul, “therefore I hope in Him!”  The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.  It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

I visited the Stadtmission German congregation in Pretoria yesterday. The message was shared from this Scripture in Lamentations. I had to dig deep to retrieve my high school German, but it was a very uplifting Word. It was very special to fellowhip with other believers and even more exceptional that language is not a barrier in God’s family.

So, now Dries and I are both waiting for visa news. We are confident about a good outcome, because our hope is after all in the Lord. Some other exceptional news; all our Grade 5’s passed the national exam and we are particularly proud of Miky, Sarah and Masilaza from Lovako school in Russian Bay who are the first children in their village to ever pass this exam. Praise to our Father!

Teacher Ledesy and his three star students

I have mentioned before that a piece of land with a derelict building on it, has been made available to us for rent. It is just around the corner from where the school used to be. The rent will be very low, the owner knows us since the beginning and we’ll have a very solid contract for at least 20 years. This means that we’ll have to basically start from scratch with infrastructure. Please pray with us in this regard, as the new school year will start end of September and apart from the fact that it leaves us with very little time, it will require at least R300 000.

Have a blessed week!
