Actually, it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, so the news will stretch beyond the last week. Someone said during the week that they are sure that time was moving faster than ever before. Knowing that to be impossible, I can agree with the sentiment though. Between fuel shortages and electricity cuts, the work on Gabriel, school and Rangers, we seem to be constantly on the move.
The Expedition and Adventure Rangers just started their Bible Study series on II Corinthians. Yesterday, the lesson was titled, ‘Be focused on God‘ and Sitraka challenged the young people to focus their attention on the things that matter. It also made me think that while we can be ‘busy’ all the time, it is important to ensure that we are occupied with the right things and that it brings glory to God.
The Memory Verse for the week was Psalm 105:4, a good reminder of what is important.

Dries has also been busy with the gates for the school. I need to get to the painting of it, but as he had the idea of making it look like coloured crayons, who knows when that will be…and apparently there needs to be bamboo in between the planks. I got a disapproving look when I asked why not just a simple gate.

Please pray with us for our finances. Our monthly transfer from South Africa has been blocked for almost three months. For some reason the government now needs new documentation from the organisation that transfers our funds. We suspect that it is a way to control the flow of money out of the country. God has been faithful as we received some support from elsewhere and that kept everything going. Please pray that the situation will be resolved soon.
Have a blessed week.
