Thank you for praying for us. The storm quickly started to dissipitate once it made landfall yesterday and soon turned into a moderate tropical storm. We had less rain than expected, but strong wind that came in gusts. We were left without power after a tree fell on a power line, but that was fixed remarkably quickly.
Dries had a little accident on the boat during the night. He woke up after he thought he had heard something and forgot for a moment that he was in a cabin on a boat and got up so quickly that he banged his forehead against the bulkhead. It is a deep, long gash and bled a lot, but he managed to stop the bleeding. I thought that a couple of stitches and maybe an x-ray were called for, but he maintains that all is well…but I ordered him to take it easy the rest of the week-end.
