All the Grade 5’s passed their National Exam, including the five students from Lovako School in Russian Bay. That means that Emmerancienne is the first child from Andranompitily village to ever pass this exam. As this is only a Grade 5 level exam, it shows how illiterate and uneducated the village is. We give God the glory for what He has done and for the answer to prayer. We continue to pray for spiritual change in Andranompitily and Ampamata and we trust that God will use these children to accomplish this.
We had our Adventure and Expedition Rangers picnic yesterday. We have a small group of about twenty Rangers on Saturday afternoons, but this is a very faithful and dedicated group. So, we asked the boat yard owner where Gabriel is out on the hard if we could bring the young people there for their picnic. He was very kind to give us permission and even put a sign up to say that there was a private function. Well, it was a wonderful day. The beach is so safe and the water so clear that they spent most of the day in the water…with Badger our puppy. We started the morning with a parade, Randria spent the day with us and shared a message and we presented the Ranger of the Year Award to Léanne. Léanne has shown tremendous growth this year in her spiritual life as well as being a good Ranger.
This will be the last week of school for this school year. Dries and I will do the finishing touches to the new school gates and the last part of the fence will be completed so that we can keep goats, the neighbourhood children and tuc-tucs that just park on the school grounds, out.
May you have a blessed week.
