| I am way behind with all the news, so let’s kick off with the start of the new school year. With the little ones, there was the usual resistance to the start of their school careers. Some cried or simply scowled at everybody around them, others sat quietly and were probably thinking that if they could only get through that day, all would be fine. I ended up with two of them who grabbed hold of me and would not let you. They have all settled in well though. |
| For the rest of the children, it was back to school with great joy. Sorting out the mountains of writing books, took most of the first day. The new uniform which will be worn on Mondays, looks very good. |
| Elizabeth arrived safely from South Africa for her two-week visit. We are enjoying her time here, especially the fellowship and sharing about what God is doing on the island. The trip to Lovako School in Ampata was very special and I’ll still tell you all about that. |
| We had to say goodbye to Alice who left for Malaysia where she will study Interior Design for the next couple of years. She is filled with excitement for this new season in her life and we are happy for the opportunity that God had opened up for her. We enjoyed a meal together before her departure and enjoyed our time together in the kitchen for the last time in a while. It was special that Elizabeth could also meet her. We pray that she will continue to be a shining light to those around her and that God will guide and protect her. |
