Sendingnuus: Madagaskar – The Week 3 May 2026

Please pray with us for Dries’s brother Jan, who had a serious stroke on Friday morning. He is in hospital, but we have no news yet as to what medical treatment will be needed and what the prognosis is.

We had a busy couple of days on the boat. I think that I will have to get used to having paint stained hands. I also realise that I am not so agile as before. I almost fell off the ladder once. Also, carrying stuff while going down a ladder is probably not advised. I suppose Dries and I are both now considered as ‘no longer fit to use a ladder’, but as there is no alternative, we just have to be more careful and slow down a little.

Alice visited the Rangers again on Saturday. She taught them an English song with actions. We appreciate the fact that she is willing to help out at Rangers, because I noticed that the girls enjoy her presence and I think that Alice is a good role model.

Our fuel situation on the island has improved significantly. Petrol is still being rationed, but the queues are shorter which is good, as Dries ran out of petrol for the generator on the boat during the week.

May you have a good week.

God bless !
