Background
I thought I was alone in that garden until I heard the birds above me; Are they hushing their singing? A new melody rises from my heart as I hear a sweet voice falling on my ears. I walk, I talk, I tarry. My joy knows no bounds. I’d stay here. Wouldn’t I?
“In the Garden” (also known as “I Come to the Garden Alone”) is a classic Christian hymn written by C. Austin Miles.
The hymn reflects on a personal, intimate relationship with God, often described as a peaceful and contemplative walk with Jesus in a garden setting, symbolising spiritual connection and devotion.
We, the Harmony Souls share this joy, singing “In the garden”.
